It’s been way too long. I had a chance to be on the Salt Lake Temple Square this evening. Had a couple of minutes and my camera so I snapped a few photos. It wasn’t the best conditions for photos – just an ugly gray sky and lots of wind, but that’s alright this is fun. My niece did a piano concert in the Assembly Hall. She’s amazing. Anyway the shots I’m sharing here are the two pianos used in the concert, looking through the window into the Tabernacle while someone practices the organ and the only healthy looking blossom on a bush I walked past.
I was in Boise this week end to celebrate a birthday and while I was there I stopped to check in with my mom. Her yard is always spectacular. So with Camera in tow I grabbed all kinds of photos of the flowers in the yard. I was already to late for some of them, but obviously just the right time for these. Hope you like them as much as I did.
It’s been a while since I posted mostly because I got busy doing other things. Now that Spring has sprung in my yard I just had to get out and take a couple of shots. The weather was beautiful over the week end so I couldn’t help it. Here you go these were all taken with my 100mm macro lens. I was out with the grand kids exploring and it was a little windy so not the best for great shots. Pine cones aren’t really spring, but what the heck. The plum tree is wall to wall blooms which is awesome.
I have a flowering plum tree in my front yard. It blooms early every year which is why I have it. Sunday the grand-kids came over and noticed that birds where picking the blooms of the my tree! Unbelievable. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of such a thing. We’ll I grabbed the camera and took a few pictures of this years blooms before they all disappear. I wondered why I had so many blooms laying around on the ground.
Here are a couple of pictures I took today while we were driving to Dugway today for a nice early brisk outdoor meeting. I took these with my Galaxy phone and did some editing in Lightroom and Photoshop. Most of the editing was done in lightroom 3.
