Nothing like Thanksgiving with family, it’s a real treat and this year was no exception. We’ve been getting together with the Roberts for Thanksgiving since I can remember. I captured some fun photos this year so I’d thought I’d share. Hope you like them. BTW the Roberts family wanted some pics so I’m sharing those also.
I was in Washington DC about a year ago and took a bunch of pictures of historic and other wise significant things. My friend asked today if I had any pictures of the Lincoln Memorial. I reassured him I did and he could probably find them on my web site. Well guess what, there weren’t any. So I looked through my stuff tonight and guess what. I must not have liked what I took because they’ve disappeared. Following the advice of other photographers I know…throw away everything you don’t like and keep what you think is your best. At any rate I’m posting what’s left of the pictures of the Lincoln Memorial. I’ve also posted pictures taken of the home where Lincoln died and the inside the museum next door. BTW, Lincoln died in the little red brick house and the museum is to the left of that.
I spent the last week in Philly and took my camera. I couldn’t fit my tripod in my luggage and I’m not sure I wanted to lug it with me every where. On Monday night we took a walk over to the liberty bell and independence hall. On the way back to the hotel I grabbed this picture of the new Jewish Center under construction. Thought it was pretty cool. BTW this is another hand held 3 shot HDR
